Why Braillo

One Standard. Every Format. Braillo.

Braillo defines production braille.

For decades, Braillo has focused exclusively on designing and manufacturing production braille printers and embossers built for sustained, high-volume operation. These are not adapted desktop devices—they are purpose-built systems engineered to perform reliably, maintain consistent braille quality, and operate continuously over years of service.

In production environments, performance is measured over time. Equipment must deliver consistent output across extended runs, maintain precise dot quality, and operate without interruption. This is the standard Braillo is built to meet.

One Standard

“One Standard” defines what Braillo represents in production braille.

Every Braillo printer is engineered for sustained operation, consistent braille quality, and long-term reliability. These are not marketing claims—they are the requirements of real production environments.

Braillo printers are built with durable components and designed to operate continuously while maintaining uniform dot quality across long production runs. This ensures readable, high-quality braille on every page.

Braillo does not differentiate between entry-level and higher-output models in terms of quality. The same expectations apply to every printer: it must perform as specified, maintain consistent braille output, and operate reliably over time.

Every Format

“Every Format” reflects Braillo’s ability to support all braille paper formats used in production.

Production environments have historically been limited by paper format—either continuous (tractor-fed) or roll-fed braille paper—depending on the equipment in use. While cut-sheet braille has been explored, it has not met the demands of sustained production.

Braillo eliminates these limitations by supporting continuous braille paper, roll-fed braille paper, and now, with the Braillo 400 CS2, cut-sheet braille paper.

This allows production facilities to select the format that best fits their operation without compromising performance or braille quality.

Braillo is the only manufacturer delivering true production capability across all three braille paper formats.

Built for Production

Production braille is not defined by specifications—it is defined by performance under sustained demand.

Braillo printers are used in production environments worldwide, including national libraries, government agencies, and high-volume braille production facilities. These environments require equipment that operates consistently, maintains output quality, and minimizes downtime.

Braillo printers are designed to meet these requirements. They operate as expected, deliver uniform braille across extended production runs, and continue to perform over years of use.

Proven Over Time

The value of a Braillo printer is not defined at installation—it is proven over time.

Many Braillo printers remain in service for decades, producing millions of pages of braille. This level of longevity reflects the engineering, build quality, and reliability required in production braille.

Braillo printers are also designed to evolve. Upgrades to electronics and performance capabilities allow existing equipment to remain relevant as production needs change.

Braillo

Braillo represents consistency, reliability, and long-term performance in production braille.

For organizations producing braille at scale, equipment must perform as expected every day. Braillo printers are built for this level of demand—delivering consistent braille output, operating reliably, and remaining in service over time.

Choosing Braillo is not simply a product decision. It is a commitment to production equipment that performs as required—consistently, and over time.
